Skip the ineffective products in the beauty aisles—grow fuller and longer lashes with Latisse in Tinley Park! Latisse is a topical solution that promotes growth of thicker eyelashes. It delivers proven results, effectively enhancing thinning eyelashes. This treatment can be safely and easily administered in the comfort of your own home.

What Is Latisse?

Latisse is an FDA-approved prescription treatment for hypotrichosis, or sparse hair growth of eyelashes. The main ingredient is bimatoprost, which is also used to treat glaucoma. In fact, the hair growth effects of bimatoprost were first observed in people who were using the medication for glaucoma. This inspired the application of bimatoprost to address inadequate lash growth.

Ideal Candidates

If you want to regrow lashes to fill out bare patches in your lash line, then you may be a good candidate for Latisse treatments. Ideal Latisse candidates are also looking to grow thicker, darker, and longer eyelashes naturally.

You may not be recommended for this treatment if you have light eye color or are considering LASIK or cataract surgery. If you are pregnant or nursing, or if you have known allergies to any of the ingredients of Latisse, you may need to explore other options. If you have eye problems or certain pre-existing medical conditions, you may not be an ideal candidate for Latisse treatments.

Your Latisse Consultation

During your Latisse consultation, a physical examination of your eyes and eyelashes will be performed. Your medical history will be reviewed to confirm your compatibility for this treatment. Photographs may be taken for before-and-after comparison. You will also be informed of the proper dosage and proper application, as well as potential side effects.

How Do I Apply Latisse?

Latisse is a topical treatment and is applied using a specialized brush applicator once a day. Before applying, wash your face thoroughly, remove makeup, and take out your contact lenses.

Apply one drop onto the applicator, then use the applicator to draw a thin line on the base of the upper lashes. Blot excess solution, then discard the applicator and use a fresh one for the opposite eye. Do not apply on the lower lashes.

Aftercare and Results

Latisse will be added to your nightly skincare regimen. Eyes may feel temporarily itchy or red. You may also experience dryness, but this should disappear quickly. If symptoms persist, you should call Dermatology Associates right away.

Latisse works gradually and most effectively if used regularly as prescribed. You will start to notice eyelash recovery and enhancement results after four weeks, and the full effects will be noticeable after 16 weeks of daily application.

Cost of Latisse Treatment

The cost of Latisse serum depends on the prescription given. The overall price for your eyelash enhancement treatment will include the number of bottles used and how long you are recommended to continue with the treatment.
